Updating and Rebuilding Your Content

Rarely does content remain unchanged for very long. New content is added and old content is being edited and deleted. Unlike the dynamic nature your source content, the content you have in content collections is static. It is static until you update that collection content, bringing it in line with your source content, by rebuilding your content collections. The frequency of updating and rebuilding your collections will depend on the dynamic nature of your content and your requirements for current content.

Updating and rebuilding your collections keeps your collection content up to date. But, in order to keep your end users content current as well, you must also deploy those updates to your end users so they too can update your content on their servers.
